An estimated 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men will experience major depression in their lifetime. Cold facts that only become real when you experience them up close. At Boho Strings, we experienced this shocking reality first hand in August 2020, when we lost a dear friend and board member to suicide after a long period of depression. This prompted us to create the concert program Be A He(a)ro, inspired by the story of Orpheus. Be A He(a)ro takes you on a journey through the various stages of grief, eventually reaching acceptance and hope.

Together with Tamar's delicate piano playing and Andreas' poignant voice, Boho Strings aims to offer hope and comfort to the millions of people who have experienced firsthand the exhausting effects of depression.
